Position: Chair
SJ Noble’s younger sister. Worked with Tourism and Rural Development in the Indian Himalayas 1970-1992 and since 1998 as Project Director, Here We Are, Argyll. Board member of Argyll and Bute Social Enterprise Network, and Alienergy.
 
Alastair Barge
Position: Trustee
Managing Director of Otter Ferry Seafish, Loch Fyne. A family based company and one of the few independent fish farming companies left in Scotland, now specialising as a marine hatchery in the production of halibut juveniles. Director of the Argyll and Islands Enterprise.
 
James Joll
Position: Trustee
Chairman of the Pearson Group Pension Fund and of White Cloud Capital Advisors Investment Committee . He has had a varied career in journalism, banking and business over 40 years, eleven of them as Finance Director of Pearson plc.
 
Michael Breslin
Position: Trustee
Currently an elected member of Argyll & Bute Council for Ward 7, Dunoon. Former Principal of Argyll College UHI until his retirement in September 2012. Previous experience as Head of Training with Argyll & Islands Enterprise with responsibility for Small Business Support.
 
Sophie Paterson
Position: Trustee
Worked with S J Noble Trust since inception, including production of annual funders‘ report. Based in London with extensive administrative experience gained within banking, financial and political environments. Currently Office Manager of White Cloud Capital Advisors.
 
Virginia Sumsion
Position: Trustee
Virginia has lived and worked in Argyll for the last 24 years, principally as Marketing and Events Manager for Loch Fyne Oysters. She is co-ordinator for the Food from Argyll producers group and also works closely with Cairndow Community Childcare.
